Founded by the Huval family in Youngsville back in 1919 and moved to Lafayette in 1926, Evangeline Maid has deep Acadiana roots. The founder’s eldest daughter, Mary Huval modeled for the famous Evangeline Maid logo as you know it today. Even the original hand-twist process of making the Old Fashioned Loaf has not changed.

Our products are made with the water from local Chicot Aquifer and Evangeline Maid has been a part of life in Acadiana for 100 years. As it is well known among all locals, even the region’s millennials who view themselves as β€œnew natives,” love the simplicity and nostalgia that the Evangeline Maid brand represents. It was born in Acadiana, baked and sold exclusively in Acadiana, and remains that way to this day.

Thanks for stopping by and giving us a 5 fry rating ;-) Here are some answers to go with this great video! 1. Alton "Ton" Girouard had a twin named Tim. Everyone in Broussard called them Tim & Ton. That's where the name Ton's Drive-In comes from. Pronounced "tuhn" like a ton of bricks...or burgers! 2. We had the first drive thru window in Lafayette Parish, so we've had some practice. 3. We are all family here and we want you to feel like a part of our family when you patronize our business! 4. Our burgers are homemade, right down to making the bread crumbs and seasoning blend ourselves. We also use only Angus Beef with no fillers & Evangeline Maid buns, because we all need to support locally owned businesses! 5. We make everything to order!
