Ok y’all, this is gonna take a minute but I’ve gotta get this off my chest!!

I’ve heard things like “ain’t no way I’m paying that for cookies” to “I can make them for cheaper” or “wow, I didn’t think they would be that much” to not hearing back at all. I wanted to explain some things. If you don’t know, these cookies take HOURS to make from start to finish! Between mixing dough, rolling it out, chilling, cutting with cookie cutters, re-rolling the dough, baking, cooling, mixing the icing, then adding to different bowls to add food coloring, bagging all the icing, outlining the cookies, flooding them, letting them dry, then add the final details, let dry again and then package them. It’s a very long process!!! If you look on Etsy, some people charge well over $100 for a dozen cookies. (Granted these bakers are professional and theirs are absolutely perfect!) I went on Walmart.com and added ONLY the ingredients for the cookies and icing and the total was 44.19. This does NOT include the mixer (which you must have, cookie cutters, food coloring, piping bags, packaging materials, parchment paper/ silicone mats. And I’m sorry, but you have to factor in the time it takes me to make these. So please keep all of this in mind and don’t be surprised when you don’t get Wal-Mart bakery cookie prices!!
