So here’s the scoop. (UPDATE!)
First: Happy New Year’s Eve! Our Christmas break has be much needed! So relaxing and filled with family. I hope yours has been the same!
Second: THANK YOU for your orders and support. I never thought this business would grow to where it is today. I have been consistently so so busy. The small business, bakery life, is not for the faint of heart, lol.
But now, some much needed changes are coming. It’s been an emotional process but I’m confident in the Lord’s leading.
When I started Fresh BAQEd Cookies, it honestly fit all the needs of our family and it was a wonderful creative outlet for me. I wanted to stay at home and work. It was truly a provision from the Lord.
Now, our needs are changing and the Lord has provided a new opportunity that seems to be a perfect fit. I have taken a full time position with Tippecanoe County School Corporation as their Registered Dietitian!! Wahoo! I’m so excited about this job AND my break schedule matches my kids’ breaks. What a gift!!!
So, what will it look like for this cookie business? I honestly don’t know. I am taking January to adjust and then we’ll go from there. But, I image I’ll still offer some cookie decorating class. I would love to still do Vintage Oaks Holiday Market. Maybe, I’ll throw some pop-ups at my house if I have a random baking Saturday. And, I’ll definitely consider corporate printed orders.
There are many things that I LOVE about decorating cookies but we will see.
Overall, I’m holding this with an open hand and I’m thrilled about what the Lord is providing now
