We are saddened to learn of the passing of one of the originators of our business.

Brian Freed and his family have given so much of their lives to allow Mary Lou Donuts to become one of Lafayette’s most well know establishments. Brian spent 37 years of his life to give us so many of our favorite treats and far more unforgettable memories. We are grateful for his dedication to making us a Lafayette area family favorite. He will be missed dearly.

Brian J. Freed, 63, of West Point, passed away peacefully at his home in the presence of loved ones on Friday, June 19, 2026.
