I have to apologize to some of you who purchased cookies or cookie cakes this week that did not meet quality standards.

I did not take into account the drop in humidity with the cold front we experienced. Baking is a science and when it’s humid, dry ingredients will retain moisture. When they do this, the retention adds density and moisture to baked goods. My recipes are geared towards a humid climate.

I only use fresh ingredients with no added stabilizers. Stabilizers help baked goods remain consistent no matter the humidity or altitude level. Because my products do not contain this, the weather can and will affect their outcome. Because we were below 20% humidity this week, some of you may have received drier cookies.

I’m so sorry and I would like to make it right. Please reach out to me if this was you.

In the meantime, I’ll be working on some different ways to boost moisture as we enter this drier climate season.

Never thought I’d be back baking cookies, but here we are. 🍪 👩🏼‍🍳

6 years ago I started baking those delicious, heavily sought after decorated sugar cookies.
But, as many of you could imagine, they are extremely time consuming and with a new-born I couldn’t balance cookies, a family and a full time job. So, I put baking aside.

Fast forward 5 years and here we are: 2 kiddos, a full time job, and baking (almost full time). But, the baking side is a little different this time. I realized while I still don’t have the time to make you those beautiful sugar cookies, I can make you deliciously flavored cookies, cookie kits and cookie cakes.

I want to thank all of you for sharing, liking and following my page. You have inspired me to keep baking and creating. You have provided my family with a much needed blessing. We are grateful for all of you.
