If you’re stuck in your product business right now I can almost guarantee you’re doing at least one of these.
I did all three. And I had no idea they were keeping me from everything I wanted.
1. Thinking there were too many people already doing it.
I almost talked myself out of FYC before it even started. There were a million cookie companies. Who was I to think I could take over the industry? I couldn’t even say that out loud without feeling embarrassed.
The second I decided I was worthy of being THE brand, not just another one, the way I thought changed. My actions changed. I stopped just being the local cookie girl and started strategizing like a big brand. Because what I was doing before was never going to get me there.
2. Chasing sales with desperate energy.
Posting from “I need a sale” is the fastest way to repel your customer. People feel desperation. And they leave.
I used to say to myself, I’m dipping my money bucket in the river. Immediately there was a shift inside me. I stopped thinking about the next sale and started thinking about the experience. Because a sale is a one time thing. You start over every single day. An experience keeps selling for you. It brings her back. Makes her tell her friends. Makes her wait for your next drop.
When I made that shift the desperation was gone. And the sales kept coming.
3. Thinking like a seller instead of a leader.
Sellers think about the next sale. Leaders think about the experience. The products only they would make for their specific customer.
The second I started leading instead of selling, I stopped doing what everyone else was doing and started creating things my customer couldn’t find anywhere else.
And once these shifts happen for you, you’ll always be able to catch yourself. You’ll never see your business the same way again
Comment FAVORITE and I’ll send you the link to Cult Favorite, where you go from chasing every sale to waking up with orders already waiting. From starting over every day to becoming the brand your customer can’t stop thinking about. From invisible to the only option in her mind. From selling to leading.
The potential from there is unlimited.
