💜 NICU AWARENESS MONTH 💜

September will forever mean something different to our family.

On January 8th, our beautiful Lorelai entered this world at just 30 weeks and 5 days. What we thought would be a short NICU stay turned into 216 days.

She battled severe lymphatic problems, chylous ascites, infections, feeding struggles, procedures, setbacks, and more than any tiny baby should ever have to endure. There were days we weren’t sure what the future would look like. There were days we cried. And there were days we celebrated the smallest victories like they were the biggest accomplishments in the world.

And then, after 216 days, we finally brought our girl HOME. 🏡💗

Our journey changed us forever. It showed us just how strong a tiny baby can be—and how much a community can carry a family when they can’t carry themselves.

To every NICU baby still fighting, every parent sitting beside a hospital bed, and every nurse holding a tiny hand:

We see you. We are praying for you. Keep fighting. Your “home” day is worth every single tear. 💜

And to everyone who stood beside our family through Lorelai’s 216 days—thank you will never be enough.

Our girl is home. And we will never forget how we got here. 💕
