Oh, my heart. ❤️

Every once in a while, someone will ask me, “Why do you do this? Doesn’t running a baking business take away from the things you want to do?”

And honestly… sometimes it does.

There are long days. Late nights. Early mornings. Sore feet, tired hands, messy kitchens, countless hours of planning, baking, decorating, packaging, cleaning… and moments when I wonder if it’s all worth it.

And then I get a message like this:

“Good Morning!
I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful job you did on our baby shower cookies! Not only were they cute, but they were delicious too! We appreciate having someone to go to for special occasions like this. We’ll be in touch in the future.
Best of luck to you!”

And there it is.

That’s my why. ❤️

Because behind every cookie I decorate is a person celebrating something that matters to them. A baby on the way. A birthday. A wedding. An anniversary. A graduation. A milestone. A memory being made.

And knowing that something I created with my own two hands gets to be a tiny part of those special moments… that means more to me than I can put into words.

I don't just bake cookies or cupcakes or cakes or pies.

I pour my time, my creativity, my heart, and honestly, a whole lot of love into what I make. And when someone takes the time to tell me that it made their celebration special, it reminds me exactly why I started this little dream in the first place. 🥹❤️

So yes, I choose this life.

I choose the late nights.
I choose the busy seasons.
I choose the flour-covered counters and the endless dishes. 😂
I choose the stress and the exhaustion.

Because I also choose the joy.

I choose the smiles.
I choose the excitement when someone sees their order for the first time.
I choose being trusted with someone’s special occasion.
I choose creating something beautiful and delicious that becomes part of someone’s memories.

And I would choose it all over again. ❤️
