Honesty time,
Ive been taking a little break since my last pick-up and it's truly been amazing! Since our family came back from our trip in December, our life has been crazy, and I started to get overwhelmed. While I love baking for others, it felt more like a chore than a hobby.
When I started The Soured Dough, it was just a little side hobby I wanted to do. But social media started to do its thing and I began comparing my little bakery to others and started to doubt myself. With three kiddos under 5 and a husband in law enforcement, I was struggling trying to come up with a weekly baking schedule and trying to manage being a wife, mom, friend and baker.
With all that said, my goals for this year have drastically changed. I was wanting to bake every week and grow my customer base, bake GF sourdough and eventually participate in farmers markets, etc. While I don't think I be able to accomplish that this year, I still have so much hope and joy for the future. God has continued to help my little account grow and I'm so glad I have this space to learn and share all things sourdough. Things are starting to settle over here and it looks like Miss Eve is ready to start baking...
