Elisa of Kornegay Sweets brought me the most amazing grapefruit pie! It was like nothing I have ever tasted before! Made with Ruby Red grapefruit, this pie is lightly tart but also naturally sweet and 100% delicious! She even makes a margarita grapefruit pie with tequila and lime. 😱
Regular pies cost $23 and the margarita pies are $25. You can order from Elisa directly. They are available for pickup in La Feria or she can deliver to Harlingen for $5 extra. These unique pies are seasonal so are only offered November through March.
Fun fact: Elisa is also a great chef; she has been named executive chef at the upcoming The 83 Winery!
