Good morning everyone! I have had several reach out now that it is public knowledge that the building is up for sale.
Lets adress the rumors first. No I am not closed but yes I will be closing. This will be the last weekend for the buffets. This is my message from my personal FB page.
To Everyone,
I have waited to make my post until the official post was made about the building I am currently in going up for sale before I spoke on it.
This is an absolutely beautiful building. Whoever buys it can make this into anything they would want it to become! Personally I would like to see where I am at become a Chinese restaurant for Ballard. With that being said:
I was given an opportunity a few months back and I prayed about it. I did not know what to do. When I was informed about the building going up for sale that is when I knew God had answered my prayer!
For over a year I poured my heart and soul into Fred & Katie's Place. Every detail, every nail, picture, every cookie, cupcake, meal, everything was thought through. I had a vision of what I wanted the space to be and what I wanted it to feel like. I wanted it to feel as if you were sitting down at your grandmas table. I wanted the space to feel welcoming, to feel the warm hospitality from me and my staff, but most importantly I wanted it to feel like you were at home.
Then life happened, sick parents, and a divorce. I have met so many great new people. I have made memories, good ones that I will carry with me, and other ones not so good that I have learned from.
This has been a season of learning, heart ache, anger, stress, love, losing myself to rediscovering myself, bitterness, countless panic attacks, anxiety, frustration, resentment, learning to trust God, to have faith, and the hardest one to be still and listen!
Through all of these things I have people who God has brought into my life who have been some of my greatest blessings.
With that being said! I will be closing my business and relocating to the Paducah area. I want to extend my most heart felt thank yous to ALL my BALLARD people whom I love and cherish dearly. I want to say thank you to Danielle for giving me the opportunity to bring my vision to life.
For the good times and not so good times that came with the journey. I am eternally grateful I was given the opportunity to be apart of, and serve a community and her people of Ballard County.
Thank you for the Grace that has been shown from all of those who loved me through some of my darkest days and who are still standing beside me through the remainder of the storm.
To all my orders that are on my books. I will still be able to bake and fullfill those orders. I will also have a booth at BBQ on the river this year!
This location may be coming to an end but my dream and the future of Fred & Katie's is just getting started.
I will be posting some equipment for sale that I will no longer need at the new location.
Thank you again to everyone who has, does, and continues to believe in me. I love each and everyone of you all and could not be where I am at, and where I am going without each of you supporting me and my small business.
Love,
Tracy Jo
