Desserts by Juliette is a business that has morphed from a Food Blog to a bakery. Juliette used to work as a decorator for Strongbow's bakery during college years. She loved using her creative side to design beautiful cakes for their customers. Juliette quit her job to care for her grandma during the day at her mom and dad's house. Her Mom Susan, and her Dad, Daryle, would take care of her grandma
during the evening. During the day Juliette would bake beautiful and delicious desserts and her Mom, Susan, who loved photography, would come home after work and take beautiful pictures of the creations. Using their talents they decided to start a food blog and it was a hit. Their Chocolate Italian Buttercream became number one on Google searching out of 21,000,000. It was at that time they decided it might be a good idea to sell the buttercream since Italian Buttercream could not be purchased anywhere. They started another phase of their business selling the chocolate and vanilla Italian Buttercream and it was a success. Thank you to Valpo Velvet, family friends, who helped them along the way. They sold cupcakes in a cup at the Chesterton European Market and people loved it even more! They received many requests for orders and decided it was time to purchase a store front in Kouts. Opening day was Pork Fest August, 2018 and the bakery has been non stop ever since! Juliette has since moved on to another career and Susan and her husband Daryle have now taken over operations and managing the bakery. The bakery has a new Cake of the Month each month and a large variety of cupcake and cake flavors with an expanded Italian Buttercream flavor selection. They've added other desserts, partnered with other bakeries in the area to add donuts and coffee from a local roaster. Their hours have expanded and so has their menu options and variety.
