This is a cut down version of the 3 minutes I spoke to the school board last night about my "resignation." To be very clear, I was all but forced to resign after a coworker assaulted a student, fellow coworker, and our supervisor and yet has still been working in the classroom for the past month. I maintain that this behavior is and was unacceptable, and this teacher should not be employed by Kokomo School Corporation.
It has disgusted me the way Kokomo School Corporation refused to act when I asked for a clear action plan to be put into place regarding this frightening escalating behavior. However, that disgust has been nothing compared to my outrage that children are still being subjected to this teacher's verbal and physical abuse.
Our children deserve better.
