This weekend was one that was so unexpected, yet unbelievably beautiful.

I started this business 9 months in the thought of making a few cupcakes here and there for friends... & then God turned it into this reality that I never could have predicted.

I think one of the best parts about it are the friends I have met along the way. There is something so special about meeting other moms & women who are out there, running their own businesses while raising babies & managing homes. Women supporting other women because we all know what it's like to start a business from the ground up.

Owning my cottage bakery has taught me that life can hold two things at once.

You can be carrying a heavy load, while still carrying a grateful heart.
You can have unanswered prayers, while still walking in God's over- abundance of answered ones.
You can feel overwhelmed & under water, while still feeling perfectly at peace.

This season has stretched me in ways I never expected, but it's also reminded me time & time again that God's faithfulness doesn't depend on my circumstances.

His timing is everything & when you can fully surrender your ideas, your plans, and your chaos to Him... that is when you get to just rest in His loving arms.
With a smile on your face and a supernatural peace in your heart, knowing that He's got this.

Real life conversation that has happened in my home::

Me, when I started this sweet business in fall 2025 - "I have ZERO desire to do cakes at all, it's not my thing. I'm sticking to cupcakes."

God, pretty much from the beginning - πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

My husband, about 5 months into the business - "I can't even remember the last time I saw you make cupcakes, it seems like all you make are cakes."

The cake orders keep coming (I have 3 of them for this week alone!!).
My skills continue to be challenged &, not surprisingly, God gets me through every time.
I have learned SO much incredible knowledge about cake making & decorating.
They actually are one of my most favorite things to do.

If you want to make God laugh hysterically - just tell Him what YOU expect something to look like. 🀣

Forever & always grateful that He knows how to handle my life a million times better than I do. πŸ™ŒπŸ»
I would have said no to the cakes.
Instead, I said yes to Him since the beginning... and look at what He's done.
