Greetings from Barefoot pickers. I’m sitting here wondering if I’m into my passion this year. I have loved gardening since I can remember. I’ve seen many changes over the years in gardening. These last few years have really tested us. We started out in our adventure healthy and looking to sell quality fruits and vegetables. However our bodies couldn’t keep up with our minds telling us to push thru. My right hand has been in the hospital with pneumonia and is now in a bounce back. I ‘m guessing she will be there a couple of weeks.
We picked a lot yesterday and won’t pick again until Thursday. I will post again tonight to let you know what we have. The late frost got a lot of our blossoms this spring so we are down on the number of peaches. We will fill as many orders as we can and will let you know if we can take anymore.
To the question of spraying. We spray dominant spray in the fall and winter and if we see signs of the peach borer we spray with an insecticide. With this humid weather we at times have to spray with a fungicide. If we didn’t( I don’t like chemicals) we would have no peaches.
We regret that we can’t serve you like we once did, but we will continue to offer you the best of what we do grow.
Please pass your kindness and love around. It helps more than you know in this desensitized world
Have a great day!!
