Lots of recent birthday cakes and one wedding. I had lots of June and July weddings, but no photos to show. Mostly cupcake or dessert weddings that I didn't get to put out on display myself - so if you are a recent wedding couple and don't see photos of your desserts here, feel free to send me some and I would love to share.

So I can't stand sitting in front of a wall or desk hutch to do admin work. Ive been sitting at a tiny table in front of a sliding glass door for years inspite of the fact that I have a much larger workspace in the same room. This is why. Give me green and give me wildlife as my backdrop. I think it lowers my blood pressure and makes sitting at a computer much much more tolerable. Just a part of the cake world that actually is a full time job in itself. This mama and fawn just make my day and I know I will see them regularly. I've watched many creatures out this door- foxes, deer galore, baby ground hogs, rabbits, a racoon, heron, bald eagles, turkey , a bear once but I've yet to see the coyote. They are here though. Bringing the outdoors in when I can't get out. Who needs curtains.

It was an honor to provide desserts and this thoughtful cake to Amplified Change's Seeds of Change Gala. The Gala was a beautiful inspirational night raising funds for Amplified Change. They are an organization in Frederick County with a heart felt mission- Their mission is to empower children to heal trauma and build resilience through the transformative power of art and education in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. I am so excited to hear what this non profit organization of educators, therapists and artists brings to the area's children in the years to come.
