Happy National English Muffin Day! (And thank you to a holiday that finally prompted me to make these little guys!) These are honey whole wheat muffins, and I’m pretty pleased with how they came out for my first attempt. I may have ever so slightly underbaked them, but otherwise they have just the right texture!

Enjoy some process pictures because these little guys took a few extra steps!

I’m in my bread-braiding, honey-whipping era. Just me dropping some delicious food pics for your pleasure. 😉

I made Pulla, a Finnish braided cardamom bread that also goes by the name Coffee Bread. (Yes, it’s delish with a hot, black cup of coffee!) Then I topped it with homemade whipped vanilla spiced honey, made with the leftover homemade vanilla paste I had along with cinnamon and cardamom.

If you need me, I’ll just be baking all the delectable breads. 🤤 🥖

A belated Easter post for your viewing pleasure. 😉🤤 I made these cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing that turned out so good. 👀 Peep the flecks in that icing? They’re vanilla paste flecks from my homemade vanilla paste.

And for dinner? I made a whole wheat thin crust pizza dough and topped it with a delicious mix of greens (spinach & arugula), chicken, goat cheese, and Parmesan.

See? I can bake all kinds of things. (Really just showing off the savory bakes. 😂)

Vanilla cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies for a baby shower I helped host this past weekend! I used my homemade vanilla paste and vanilla extract in these to rave reviews! (I think I’m getting better with icing, too. 😉)

It’s been a while, but I had an order for some cupcakes for a space-themed birthday party today! I tried a technique for making galaxy icing and really loved the result!

It’s been pretty slow around here, and I recently was gifted a sourdough starter. What does that mean? Lots and lots of experimenting with sourdough and sourdough discard! I’m working on perfecting sandwich loaves, bagels, crackers, and tortillas…among other grand ideas.

Would anyone be interested in buying a sourdough babka? I’m very interested in trying a few of those, but if I eat them all, I’ll be big as a house! 😂

What’s a girl to do when she doesn’t have cookie orders? Obviously test out multiple chocolate chip cookie recipes!

I tried five different recipes out for fun last week, and I’m still deciding which one is my favorite. I had my family taste test them, too, and there’s no clear consensus.

Just goes to show that everyone is different and has their own preferences! What do you like in a chocolate chip cookie? What’s your favorite texture?
