What is baking?
Tomorrow I will make a "Tiramisu Cake" which has been ordered for a dear friend's birthday party.
I know, I know, Tiramisu is Italian, not German, but we are such close countries and I am looking forward to experience the challenge; I will be following an original recipe waiting in my files for the longest time to be considered; it was was handed to me by an Italian Lady in those times, where we still exchanged handwritten recipes, lol.

A German Lady asked me if I can do this......it's a very traditional cake that only would be offered on very special occasions of my childhood....it's called 'Rehruecken" and you can google it all you want, the closest translation would be something like "Venison Back"..this name though doesn't give the cake it's well deserved praise and credit, because it is deliciously melting in your mouth....the main ingredients are Eggs, Almonds, Vanilla and German Chocolate; I will post it on my website for purchase as soon as I get the almond sliver lines straight. lol...this one I made for my son and his wife.
