I can't believe it's Friday already. We are loaded for those on-the-way-to-work treats and weekend prep. If you can't make it to Kirklin, be sure to stop and grab a loaf at Prep N Go in Michigantown. Tomorrow you can visit with us at Eagleson Meadows on 211th Street.

Good morning! I can't believe how quickly the Old World Flaxen Rye disappeared from the shop. I am going to make a bigger batch next week for everyone that missed out. Today we have another new bread, but this one was thought up yesterday, Strawberry Cream Cheese Sourdough. It's definitely a limited time offering since Indiana berries won't be available for long. We are here until 5 today, and be sure to visit us Saturday from 10 - 3 at Eagleson Meadows in Sheridan. They have the most beautiful gardens around.

This is the Old World Flax Rye. It has a strong sour note followed by a nuttiness from the flax seeds. I have sliced one up if you would like to give it a try. There are also four loaves available if you want to take one home.

I am going to make this again next week but will use smaller pans in order to get a better shape for thin sandwich slices. I also need to buy or borrow another grinder for the flax. The one I purchased died after I ground the first third of the flax.

Good morning and happy Wednesday. The Old World Flaxen Rye is in the oven. It should be cooled and ready for a tasting this afternoon. In other news, I felt a little crazy and made three flavors of Scones, Blueberry Lemon, Strawberry Lemon and Maple Bacon. We are here until 5 so step in, inhale deeply, and enjoy a treat on the bench.

I nearly forgot to make a post today. I started jumping right into making the Old World Flax Seed Rye for tomorrow. I can't wait to see how this turns out. Our new art board arrived yesterday and it's incredible. I was truly exhausted yesterday until I saw this marvelous piece created by Hannah. My tired spirit was lifted right up.

Enjoy the new bench outside while munching a treat or just take a load off your feet.
