Last week, we had a wonderful time visiting Banks Elementary and spending the day exploring astronomy! πŸŒŸπŸš€

We had the opportunity to work with all grade levels K-5 with the incredible STEAM teacher, Mrs. Ham 🌎✨

Students became young scientists and engineers as they:
πŸŒ• Made moon craters
πŸͺ Created their own planets
⭐ Built constellations
πŸ” Explored the planets in our solar system
πŸš€ Learned all about astronomy and space science

It was such a fun day filled with hands-on learning, creativity, curiosity, and excitement for STEM! A huge thank you to Mrs. Ham and the staff at Banks Elementary for making this experience so special for the students. πŸ’™

Mark your calendars! πŸ„

What a great day at our Coastal Plains Chicken Show this past Tuesday! πŸ”

We were excited to have FFA groups from Woodington Middle School and Frink Middle School during the morning show, followed by our 4-H show in the afternoon. Every participant did an outstanding job showing their birds in both showmanship and breed classes.

We are so proud of all of these young exhibitors for their hard work, dedication, sportsmanship, and the care they put into their projects. Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success!

This past weekend, our 4-H’ers Lauren Powell and Sophia Kessel had a great time attending the SED 4-H Teen Retreat, enjoying time with friends from across our district while participating in service projects, leadership activities, and more.

We’re especially proud to share that Lauren ran for a Southeast District Officer position as Member Engagement Officer - and won! πŸŽ‰ Her leadership and dedication to 4-H truly shine, and we can’t wait to see all she accomplishes in this role!!

Way to represent and lead, Lauren and Sophia!! πŸ’š
