We wanted opening day to be more than just shopping — we want families and kids to have something fun, hands-on, and memorable too.

Yes, it's true.....we will be taking our products to a brand new farmer's market right in our little village of Kingston on Friday afternoons. We'll be sharing our space with Tiffany who makes really good cookies with our flour and helps out where needed on the farm. 🎉

Jersey cows on fresh green pasture means one thing-filling the milk tank every time we turn around!
We are actively signing new herdshare members for each drop off point.
Excess milk becomes cream which is available to herdshare owners.
When even that outlet for extra milk fails us-ha ha-Shirley starts filling our home freezer with delicious yellow orbs of summertimes bounty! We have not bought even one stick of butter in the over 20 years we've had Jersey cows sharing our space.

Yes! We will be at the markets this weekend-the third week of the Spring Trifecta that kicks off the growing season. Mother's Day, Flower Day and Memorial Day. After that, it will be just our "normal" market thru Spring, Summer and Fall.
Randy and Shirley have Saturday OFF! Imagine that. A rare event for sure, but rest assured that they haven't been abducted by space aliens. 👽🛸🐸

We do take orders for 25 # bags of our products for market delivery or farm pickup. We really appreciate getting orders by Wednesday.
However-we are getting more orders coming in like "can I get a big bag of oats on Saturday? first name."."
We really need as much info as possible with the first message because if not then we have to ask...and wait, before we can write up the order and send it up to the warehouse to be filled.
We go to bed early and get up at 2 a.m. on Saturday to drive to market. It is not unusual to see a bulk order at that time that came in after we were in bed. The funniest ever late bulk order came in one Saturday at 7 a.m. just as we had finished setting up our market stall. ????

Randy and Shirley took a rare day off and attended a car show today at Crossroads Village near Flint. The weather was perfect, and around 1,000 cars attended filling the streets and open spaces. We were parked on Main Street right at the village entrance.
We had the best (only) VW Bus there, and were one of three VWs we saw on display.
Randy had lots of chances to show off the engine he built. 🚌💨💨💨💨

We made it to Eastern Market early and are all set up for the day. Yay!
Royal Oak? A bit more challenging. Hit a pothole on I-75 about 16 miles out and broke an axle on the trailer and lost a tire. Limped on the other 3 wheels to market on the backroads. Finally set up in Royal Oak. C'mon in!
(it only looks easy) 😵‍💫

Tomorrow! Flower Day weekend at Eastern Market starts early. We'll be driving down really really early to even get near our booth to unload our goods.
