New special: BEEF SWEAT

I’ve been told that this name might hurt sales of this sandwich but how could that be? A tribute to our favorite New Jack Swing singer in the form of basically a corned beef Parmesan. Moist and warm shredded beef under a blanket of mozz and gravy (made from the braising liquid). Nothing better as it gets cold here in little old Kingston.

This weekend is a big one: The O+ art and music festival is happening throughout the city, Field + Supply takes over the Hutton Brickyards, The Italian Festival is held on Sunday in the Rondout, and just outside the city limits, the fall foliage is approaching peak peep. All very important reasons, of course, to stock up on bread and pastries at any of our locations!

Find us tomorrow at 608 Broadway from 9 to 3 (with a full brunch menu); the Kingston Farmers Market from 9 to 1 (with bread, pastries, and egg sandwiches); and 25 Barbarossa Lane from 9 to 2 (where you can pick up items preordered online). Happy Birthday to KB+Broadway!

A year ago this week, we were frantically hanging music posters and patching holes and reaaaaaallllly hoping that people would show up ... and you did!

Thank you to everyone who has visited Version 2.0 of our bakery/bar/sandwich shop since we reopened on Broadway last year. We’ve been so lucky to see so many of our uptown guests back, AND to gain a whole new group of regulars in our new ‘hood. You’ve helped us improve this new space and menu over the last 12 months, and we’re heading into Year Two excited about what’s still to come.

SO LET’S CELEBRATE! Stop in to Broadway tomorrow morning for a special “Sing for Your Breakfast” karaoke party, and perform a song for a chance to spin our prize wheel and win something yummy. We open at 9, and we'll probably get the festivities going around 10.

Of course, this is ALSO the reminder email for preorders and pickups at Barbarossa Lane, and we'll be open there tomorrow as well. Happy Birthday to KB+Broadway!

A year ago this week, we were frantically, hanging music posters and patching holes and hooking up printers and reaaaaaallllly hoping that people would show up and that all this new staff we hired would be a good fit ... and you did! And they were!!

Thank you to everyone who has visited Version 2.0 of our bakery/bar/sandwich shop since we reopened on Broadway last year. We’ve been so lucky to see so many of our uptown guests back, AND to gain a whole new group of regulars in our new ‘hood. You’ve helped us improve this new space and menu over the last 12 months, and we’re heading into Year Two excited about what’s still to come.

So much gratitude to our Broadway team for making this first year a success, and of course to our bakery crew who have kept not only this restaurant but our entire bread and pastry program going strong while the bosses have been busy at Broadway.

Honestly, the idea of bringing back the restaurant after so many months of closure was terrifying, and we second guessed ourselves many times over the summer leading up to reopening. But we knew we had a special team, and a special thing, that was ready for another chance to shine.

SO LET’S CELEBRATE! Stop in Saturday morning for a special “Sing for Your Breakfast” karaoke party, and perform a song for a chance to spin our prize wheel. We’re still working out the details, but stay tuned for more. 🎤

We have power, we have pastries, and we are open at Broadway, Barbarossa, and the Rhinebeck Farmers Market. Put on your windbreaker and come get some treats!

Weather alert! A Nor'easter is scheduled to roll into town this weekend -- or at least pass close enough to send some wind and rain our way. Are you stocked up for the storm?

We'll be open at all three of our Saturday locations at 9 am tomorrow: 25 Barbarossa Lane (for which you can preorder below), 608 Broadway (where you can get a breakfast sandwich and a latte or Bloody Mary to go with your bread and pastry), and the Kingston Farmers Market. But Heads Up: The market will be closing at 11 a.m. due to the impending rain and high winds! We'll still be there with lots of bread and pastries (and bagel sandwiches), so please come by and help us sell it all in the first two hours!

Our Broadway and Barbarossa locations will be open normal hours tomorrow, with new specials like an Apple Butter Herb Levain sourdough and a Chocolate + Orange-Bergamot Mini Tart. Because what fun is being stuck inside during a rainstorm without good bread and a delicious dessert?

Both of our brick-and-mortar locations are also stocked with plenty of other provisions for your prepping: cheese, coffee beans, heat-and-serve matzo ball soup, bagels and schmears for the next morning ... you get the idea.
