Hey Besties!!

Sorry about yesterday!! Everything is stable, she is home and resting and we are off to the Interlochen Farmers Market and will be in our usual spots!

Batter Up Buttercup will have Mindy’s Sweet & Savory Chex mix so when you go to grab your super snacks and they are not in there usual space, keep on walking and head on over to Batter Up Buttercup to get your favs!

We are running our August Gold (caramelized peach chai) and Afterglow (a fruity blend of deliciousness that is super hard to describe so you gotta taste it to believe it!!!) through Labor Day and then we will have our big give away!! Come try it while you can!!

Hey Besties!!

Thanks for being patient with me….little update…..

Surgery went well, then she had an allergic reaction to one of the medications they gave her so a not so fun ambulance ride later, we got that sorted out! Unfortunately, the fun doesn’t stop there!!! Not with my girl!! She has a hematoma so tomorrow I have to take her back to Munson for a surgical drain and wash I guess it’s called so here’s the deal

Tomorrow - Saturday 9-1 - Frankfort Farmers Market - my girl Beulah will be there to assist with all your lemonade, iced tea, latte and cocktail infusion kit needs! Please show her lots of love!

She is a super cool 17 year old kid who is stepping up to the plate like nobody’s business!! I can’t tag her in here, but I am sure y’all don’t know that many Beulah’s! If you know her, go up and see her and support some small businesses along the way! It’s a great market!

Also, John from Batter Up Buttercup is going to be serving up samples of Mindy’s Sweet & Savory Chex mix while Mindy handles some business! Give him some for Shane finger shaking if he doesn’t ask you if you want a sample!!! Her normal booth will be occupied by Marshall and Cindy who make the best pineapple, blueberry and carrot cake bread I have ever had in my life and that says a lot!! Get there early for that because he always sells out!! Mindy’s booth for this week only will be next to Bake Shop Betty’s down at #43!!

Sunday - 9-2 - Interlochen Farmers Market - unless my girl has some additional surprises for me, I plan to be here!

Hey Besties!! Schedule for the week…..sorry for the delay!!

Wednesday- Today - Kingsley Farmers Market 3-7

Thursday and Friday - I will not be at any markets these days. My daughter is having surgery so I will be unavailable. Still, go check out Cadillac Vets Serving Vets Farmers Market on Friday and Saturday!! And Thursday is the last market for Interlochen Thursdays!! Get up there and see them folks!!

Saturday - presuming everything goes as planned on Thursday, we will be at Frankfort 9-1

Sunday - Interlochen Farmers Market from 9-2.

Saturday and Sunday are tentative days so if there are complications of any sort or the recovery is harder than our babysitter can handle, we will be off the whole week.

A LITTLE UPDATE ABOUT OUR SUGAR-FREE PRODUCTS

We need to talk about the tiny packet that will start showing up inside our sugar-free bags.

And truthfully? We hate it.

The combination of summer heat, humidity, and seemingly endless rain has been absolutely brutal on our sugar-free products. Because of the ingredients we use, they LOVE to grab moisture from the air. Once that happens, a beautiful free-flowing powder can turn into a very determined little brick. (It is not bad if this happens, water will still melt it down and make it into the delicious drink you already know!!)

We have tried to avoid adding anything unnecessary to our packaging. We make these products with ingredients we feel good about, and putting a desiccant packet inside the bag goes against every fiber of our being.

But after trying to find another reliable solution, we had to choose between stubbornly refusing to use one or protecting the quality of the product you paid for.

Quality won.

So, for now, our sugar-free products will contain a food-safe desiccant packet to help control moisture and prevent clumping and hardening.

The packet is NOT an ingredient. It is NOT mixed into the product. It should NOT be eaten or opened. Please simply leave it inside the bag while storing your mix and remove it when the bag is empty. You will also see a warning label on the package reminding you of this change as seen in our Black Velvet Iced Tea here!!

Nothing about the recipe has changed. Nothing has been added to the actual product. We’re simply giving that powder a tiny moisture bodyguard.

We will continue looking for alternatives because we’d still rather not need them at all. But until Mother Nature decides to stop turning Michigan into a steam room, this is the best way we’ve found to make sure the product you take home stays the same high-quality product we intended you to have.

Thank you for understanding why we’re making a change we really didn’t want to make.

Hey Besties!!! I snuck in a little nap yesterday and recharged so guess what I did when I got up????

Made the Sugar-Free Afterglow!!!

You guys this one is blowing my flipping mind!!!! There are 4 fruits - guava, green apple, lime and lemon…….IT TASTES LIKE NONE OF THESE……but it also TASTES LIKE ALL OF THESE!!!!!!! What??? I am serious….this flavor is not describable! I have asked every person who has tasted it since Wednesday and every one of them said it is not a flavor they can describe either!!!

So get up here to Interlochen Farmers Market and try it!!! I have never had my brain this confused over a flavor!!!

Alright besties!!! I finally got the August Lemonade finished!!!! Sorry but the tea needs a little more time, but it’s coming!!!

AFTERGLOW

Some flavors introduce themselves immediately. Like watermelon…..you know it’s watermelon on the first sip!!!

Others make you stop, take another sip… and wonder.

That’s Afterglow.
