I love making pie. I love it almost as much as eating pie. The process calms me. And it’s delightful to watch someone enjoy eating a pie I made as much as I enjoy it. However, our family added another new joy (and adventure) to our home this year in a 5-year-old Cheagle rescue named Charlotte. And it goes against my own and the state’s cleanliness standards to sell pies from a home with a dog and no separate commercial kitchen. A lot of people do it anyways and don’t tell you, especially with making cakes and cupcakes. But it’s not something I plan to do because I want to ensure that others are paying for the best products possible. Therefore, I am suspending The Pie Guy’s active sales at this time. If you really, really, really want a pie, I’ll do my best to help you. But I won’t be advertising available selections or actively baking to sell to the general public. I love baking, so I’ll still be doing a ton of it in our home and for our little family. And maybe someday I’ll find the right way to bake for others who enjoy my old-fashioned creations, too.
