This homemade caramel sauce is one of those recipes you’ll keep making over & over 🤎

No artificial ingredients. No store-bought flavor. Just real sugar, butter, cream, and a little patience.

Perfect for coffee, ice cream, cakes, cinnamon rolls, cheesecake… or straight off the spoon 👀

Ingredients:
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 2 tbsp water
• 4 tbsp cold salted butter
• 1/3 cup room temp heavy cream
• 1/8 tsp salt

Directions:
Add the sugar and water to a saucepan over medium heat. Do not stir — just swirl the pan occasionally.

Let the sugar melt and turn a deep amber color.

Remove from the heat and carefully whisk in the cold butter until melted.

Slowly pour in the heavy cream while whisking continuously.

Add the salt and continue whisking until smooth.

Let cool slightly. The caramel will thicken as it cools.

Save this recipe for later because homemade caramel really does taste different ✨
