This past week I had a really cool opportunity to participate in the Western Maryland Food Bank and The Culinaire Café of Allegany College of Maryland Chefs of Steel competition! It was their current students on a team vs. alumni with a secret ingredient- chili peppers! There was an appetizer, soup, salad, entree, and dessert.

The students did amazing and deserved that win. Listening to the way they spoke to each other with encouragement and respect gave me hope for the culinary scene.

I took the salad course incorporating jalapeños, poblanos, and habaneros throughout. My teammate Eric won best use of chili peppers with his egg roll appetizer. Hannah pulled off Creme Brulee in an hour and the student made lava cake which is extremely impressive to complete in one hour start to finish. It was an absolute honor to cook alongside these chefs!!

A few spring bakes! I’ve fell behind on posting, been living life💕

I’m a full time chef at Fairgo BBQ while I do this baking thing. This girl loves her home, hobbies, and traveling too much for the baking business to pay the bills in this economy lol so I went back to my other home that provides consistent paychecks, a professional kitchen.

I still take any order I’m able to. I appreciate each and every one of you. Many of you for sticking with me through different phases of life. I’ve been doing this professionally for 11 years now so there’s been many chapters but also many successes. I’ve given my life to restaurants, a few who aren’t even open anymore, so Dark Moon Treats is my culinary escape from a restaurant dynamic and investing in my own life!! All thanks to ya’ll 🙏🏻🥹💗🍰

A week late thank you to my Valentine’s Day customers of 2026🩷 I made a couple different things this year like chocolate truffles for couples massages at Mind, Body& Beauty LLC. I made two menu desserts at my full time job, Fairgo BBQ- chocolate mousse and strawberry shortcake(didn’t get a pic of that one!). I also had 12 charcuterie tray orders.
