Hi friends! I’d like to announce that Jackalope has permanently moved... to Portland, OR. As some of you might know, making cakes was and remains my hobby and I’m so incredibly grateful that this hobby led me to so many of you.
After a long search I have finally found a full-time job of my dreams and unfortunately it takes me far away from my beloved Texas.
Texas will forever remain Jackalope’s home and I will continue making sweet creations but this time on a more irregular basis, developing my own style and vision, and letting them dictate how my work looks.
I am extremely excited for this new chapter and I thank all of you, my amazing friends, for letting me create something of my own and make so many of you happy. Please stay tuned for more tasty creations! You never know where life might take you. In the meantime have a wonderful weekend and thank you, thank you, thank you.

Can't believe I haven't posted this cutie right away! This fault-line cake is made with the use of coconut milk and candied coconut slices, as well as delicious and creamy coconut pralines. No artificial flavors - it's all about that mild and authentic coconut taste! 🌴 🎂🍨🍦

Even little smash cakes can have interesting elements! While I followed the reference picture that the customer sent me, we decided that the balloon can look even more realistic if it is handblown (yes, just like glass!) out of pearly sugar. 😊🐘

Chocolate and caramel ridiculousness.... the cake comes with sealed squeeze bottles with caramel for each portion of the cake, in case if anyone needs more caramel 🤤

Apparently, according to Hill Country Fly Fishers, chartreuse is the best color to use for bass in our area🤔 Happy Birthday and wishing that every day brings the best catch ever!
Cream cheese white cake with water made out of sugar, fly and bass are all white chocolate and hand painted afterwards.

When I was asked to make a 🦄 and 🌈 cake I knew that there are so many popular designs out there, but my customers always get only unique ideas. After all, each and every 7 year old girl has to have her own unicorn wonderland, which looks like no other! I wanted the birthday girl to be as happy as she can be this day and i hope the happiness stays with her forever! Happy Birthday!🎈🎉
Rainbow and waterfall are made of sugar, unicorns are sculpted out of chocolate, the lake is made out of lemon juice reduction.

Authentic German Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte (Black Forest Cake). 🇩🇪🍒🌲🍒🌲🍒🌲🍒🇩🇪

I had the honor to live just an hour away from Black Forest region in Germany for 10 years and even had a chance to live in it for a tiny bit.

While completely captivated by its amazing nature, people, traditions and history (don't forget the Brothers Grimm!) this particular legend of dessert world has always puzzled me.

I am extremely proud to say that this cake turned out to be just as the ones that I tried in Black Forest.
I collected the best features of each recipe: fantastic cherry milk cream from a little town called Titisee, super juicy and chocolaty cake just like they make it in Heidelberg, syrupy cherries that blew my mind in Baden-Baden.

In a way this cake is my thank you to this beautiful part of the world and it turned out prefect.

Yesterday's CANDI'S HAIR STUDIO Grand Opening was a huge success! This was a very big day and i was so happy to see this hair studio flourish: Candi Cathey is an incredibly talented and hardworking professional! Congratulations on your success!
Also, over $1000 was raised for the Ingram Police Department Benevolent Foundation! Thank you everyone who came out to show their support!
And thank you for trusting me with this important order and letting me create freely!
This is a gravity defying cake with top tier resting on top of the scissors! The entire construction is created entirely from scratch specifically for this event.
A huge shoutout to my dear friends Dori and Josh for helping me deliver this cake and Emily who came over to support us!

I let the berries do their magic and color the cream, without me using any artificial colors. Chocolate gilded nest is crowned with lemon cream and strawberry center macarons, birdies are handmade lollipops.

💜💚My vision for Mardi Gras themed cake.💜💚Chocolate cream cheese cake with sugar alligator scales sculpture and shards. The outside decor is colored buttercream and hand painted golden spots. The gator head is a cake topper, but can be recreated using chocolate.

On Friday morning I woke up to strange noises coming from the living room... turned out it was a wild flock of chocolate mousse porgs! We couldn’t communicate really, but I believe they said that they had to make it to Kristen Marie’s wedding on Saturday, so I had to take them to Bandera,TX ASAP. Hope they’re ok now that they’re reunited with their owner.

Cactus theme continues and again - NO FONDANT- but this time it’s meringue!🌵🌵🌵
The customer sent me a picture of a cake with thin fondant 🌵. In order to make those I would have had to make thin fondant slices and dry them for three days... who would eat that?? So instead I went for a much more voluminous and fun look with the help of delicious lemon meringues! 🌵🌵🌵
This guy looks small, but it’s made for 25 people, the meringues are ginormous! Love how they turned out!

Was so honored to make this cake for a couple who is celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this year.
