This has been an incredibly difficult post to write, but it needs to be made.
Sadly, I have to announce that The Sticky Kitchen will not be opening for the Easter weekend, nor will it open following that. We are, in a nutshell, temporarily closed.
Life has thrown our family a few curve balls recently, and with my husband and right hand man now tackling projects several states away for an extended period of time, I find that I need to pull back and pour more abundantly into our children. I have learned these past few months rolling doughs, slicing cheesecakes and trialing recipes, that despite the passion, the absolute joy of sharing smiles through bakes, that not every open door of opportunity is meant to be walked through, and this one in this season, needs to be closed. God has blessed me with a glimpse into the possible, but needs me to labor elsewhere, to close the door for now.
If you have an open order with us please know that it will absolutely be honored and fulfilled as scheduled! I simply can no longer ensure that the case and shelves be restocked adequately and so need folks to be aware of that. Custom orders will remain open for as long as I am able to tuck them in around our family and its needs, and I hope to find time and space for the occasional pop ups or holiday menu.
Thank you for being here with me in this space, for the encouragement and support, for the love and confidence, for every purchase and kind word. They truly mean more than I could ever share and it has been an absolute blessing and honor to create for you and your families these past five years.
