LONG POST WARNING (Hope you see this Rob from Australia 😊)

One of the many things I love about owning my bakery is being able to try new recipes.

Earlier this week I met a gentleman traveling our country. His name is Rob and he is from Australia.

When he walked into the shop we almost immediately started talking about the difference of confections in his country and ours.

We talked for the next 4 HOURS!!

In that conversation I learned about what Australians call Cake Slice. And I decided to try it.

It is nothing like our version of "cake". It is a lightly sweet custard "cake" with a flaky top and bottom crust.

We are calling it Kangaroo Cake. 😁

Stop in while supplies last. Not sure if we will make it again (to sell) but goodness...its yummy!!
