Thanks to some amazing friends fixing my oven, we are going to make it to market after all!

The durum loaf this week is a fun experiment. I used some spelt, barley, and maple in the preferment. The actual durum percentage is 30% and I used brown rice syrup to give it a light sweetness. Very tasty loaf with a golden color.

I harvested the last of my rosemary bushes that I dare before the cold really sets in, and I used the last of my homemade orange marmalade. The chickens have only been producing a couple of eggs a day, and my sage has already gone dormant. The outdoorsy season is coming to a close, and we only have a few more markets left before we go on winter hiatus.

All that being said, consider stocking up your freezers with baked goods for the winter months.

Ya'll, it is going to be a race to the very end! Can't wait to see ya'll there.

Suggestions for serving BREAD on Thanksgiving:
(Recommended) freeze in a ziplock bag.

1. In the morning, take your items out of the freezer and let them defrost on the counter.

2. Spray or wet the surface. Place on a pan, and heat at 400 degrees F for about 8 minutes or until desired crust color or crispness.

Suggestions for serving DINNER ROLLS or CINNAMON ROLLS:
(Recommended) freeze in a ziplock bag.

1. In the morning, take your items out of the freezer and let them defrost on the counter.

2. Brush the surface with butter and place in a warm oven until desired warmness.

3. (Cinnamon rolls) warm the bag of icing/caramel by placing in a bowl of warm water. Snip the corner, and use like a piping bag to spread.

So much to talk about on this post!

1. Acorn gingerbread cookies are back in very limited supply.

2. We are taking pre-orders for Thanksgiving: dinner rolls, vegan turkeys (see pic), and cinnamon rolls.

3. Hubby, James, will be making a guest appearance at the Keller Farmers Market this Saturday. Make sure to wish him a happy birthday!

Lord, forgive me for i have sinned. I know I'm not supposed to cut open a rye loaf until it has cooled for 24 hours... but I just couldn't help myself. It was so good and I'm not even sorry I did it.
.. if it's any consolation, I picked the loaf that got slightly too dark in the oven.
