Bread Diary entry no.111 made with pandan and coconut milk and ube flavoring. This was my second attempt at bagels, and I think I've got it! My first round of bagels were just plain, and my shaping was all wrong. They turned out tasty but just not anything I'd want to eat twice. Once I gave up trying to make them look like normal bagels and just let myself shape them how my inner child wanted to shape them, bam! They finally came out looking cute! It may be a little early for Mardi gras colors, but I wanted to have something bold and bright to cheer up the spirits during this long stretch of soggy weather. Not sure if these would sell well at market, but they certainly bring a smile to my face.
