Loved making my brother’s 50th bday cake! He’s a magician, so we went with card decorations.
The Ferrari cake was last week and BOTH black cakes have NO DYE! Yes! I use back cocoa and add it to my buttercream. It turns dark grey, then I use an emulsifier to make it turn black 🙂 great hack for icing that tastes good and won’t turn your mouth black!

Garden party themes are ridiculously pretty! I'm totally hooked on crafting hydrangeas and rosettes on cakes using Swiss meringue buttercream - it's like the secret ingredient to making my cakes look like a million bucks, plus it's not as sweet and doesn't melt as easily, win-win! And let's get real, balloon arches are the ultimate party accessory for any cake! I love creating organic balloon arches and garlands to match my dessert themes. With over 10 years of event planning experience, I love seeing a client’s vision come to life!

Parents! Grandparents!

DO NOT SLEEP on this opportunity!

Instructor Laurie of Swanky Sweets facilitated a Patriotic party planning camp a few weeks back and it was epic! The kids learned so much about party decor, balloon decor, party food spreads, planning menus, sweets making, setting a table scape and food table, hospitality, and having a wonderful time during the whole process! They made lunch together each day and brought home treats every day as well to share! To finish the week, they threw a party for family at the end of the week!

This next camp - Big Summer Bash - is sure to be just as epic and wonderful and your kids will truly learn some life skills along the way! We have a few spots still open! Have your kiddo grab a friend and sign up together!

Cake updates coming soon - it’s been a busy spring! Here’s cake one of four this week - custom dragon cake for a really special 7 year old! This is a burn away cake - image on the left burns away revealing image on the the right! So fun!! I’ll update when the birthday boy lights it - very fun effect!
