A special thanks to lilbsmom who had this to say about our Keene location on TripAdvisor:

“Happy Discovery!”

Stopped in here twice in the past week, for the first times ever. Gem of a place. Great bagels, sandwiches, and coffee. Very pleasant and efficient staff. Loved the little area for the kids with their own table and chalk board. Whenever we travel through Keene it'll be our place to go. Love that they source some items locally.

A plea from our own Amy Christiansen, Manager at The Works Bakery Cafe', Portland:

Yep, I’m a Jailbird. And I’m pretty proud of it. My bail is set at $2,400 so I need HELP!

I’m taking part in the 2013 Portland Executive Lock-Up benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association. As a Jailbird, I’m working to raise my bail via donations from my friends and family, all of which go to help MDA.

MDA is dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and other neuromuscular diseases. At the same time, the Association provides health care and support services for people living with these diseases — right here in our community.

Please consider supporting my fundraising efforts with a tax-deductible donation. It’s easy — just click on the secure link below.

Thanks in advance for joining the fight against muscle disease. Remember, every breakout means more breakthroughs for MDA. I’ll keep you posted on my progress.

My personal site is http://www2.mda.org/goto/achristiansen

Sincerely,

Amy Christiansen

P.S.: Please help spread the word by SHARING this with your friends and colleagues.
