๐ค BITTERSWEET NEWS FROM CRUMB & CULTURE USDI ๐ค
Our little bakery is entering a new chapter, and while this announcement is bittersweet, itโs one that comes with so much gratitude, excitement, and purpose.
I, Madison, have accepted a position that truly aligns with everything Iโve been hoping and working toward. It gives me the opportunity to be in the same school as my children, learning the Cherokee language right alongside them, while being more deeply involved in and immersed in our culture. This opportunity feels incredibly purposeful and meaningful to me. It is the kind of opportunity that my heart tells me is worth making the change for, and one that I believe will allow me to give my children something they deserve: a mom who is present, involved, and growing alongside them as we work toward the revitalization and preservation of our language and culture.I feel incredibly blessed to have been given this opportunity, and I want to pour my heart into it. ๐ค
With both of us moms working full-time, weโve had to take a really honest look at what our family needs and what we can realistically carry. In order to protect a healthy balance for our families, weโve made the difficult decision to no longer operate our farm stand.
This weekend will be our LAST weekend with the stand open for grab and go purchases. ๐ฅน๐ค
But this is NOT goodbye to Crumb & Culture Usdi Bakery. We will still be taking regular customer pre-orders for our oatmeal cream pies, cookies, and sourdough loaves. Weโre simply shifting away from stocking the stand so that we can continue making the things you love without stretching ourselves too thin. To every single person who has stopped by, placed an order, shared a post, told a friend, encouraged us, supported us, or simply chose to buy something from our little bakery: Wado ๐ค
Come see us one last time at the stand this weekend for your grab-and-go favorites. ๐ฅน๐ค
