If I keep posting photos from my vacation, how long can I convince everyone that I’m still out of town? 🤔

We’re all struggling to get back to normal this week, but I could have done myself a favor by not scheduling 5 (FIVE!!) appointments the week after returning. 🤦‍♀️

So, PSA: Don’t do that. Schedule a week of sleeping in and not making dinner instead. 🌈💫

My son gives ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5 stars to ’s birthday cake pancake (toppings)! 🤦‍♀️

I could eat breakfast food all day, every day, so I’m thrilled with the influx of breakfast restaurants we’ve gotten in KC over the past few years. The Shack has the best, crispiest hash browns, if you’re wondering. And you need to try the cornflake-coated French toast (The Big Crunch). 👌

The pancakes, despite photos suggesting otherwise, are also very good.

Let me know your favorite breakfast spot that we may be missing out on / probably forgot about during the lockdown!

I usually over plan activities for the kids that end up taking up more space and time picking up ethan they’re worth. This time, I kept it simple. And by simple, I mean one backpack full of toys and activities rather than three. 😬

Pictured, but not included on the list, is another favorite rainy day destination: the Starbucks drive thru. NEED to get out of the house, but your kids won’t get dressed, and you haven’t seen their shoes all week? Throw everyone in the car and head to the Starbucks drive thru. You’ll be guaranteed at least one adult interaction, and if you get the right barista, he’ll even ask how your day is going and pretend to empathize when you respond with an exasperated sigh. Plus, you can always use the extra caffeine! ☕️

It’s Taco Tuesday!!! ...which, to be honest, sometimes I only realize once I hear the price of my tacos and it’s lower than usual. 🤷‍♀️

I’m a sucker for street tacos, and these beauties (which I swear are not all mine, though most of them are!) are some of the best.

, a popular Olathe food truck serving authentic Jalisco-style street tacos, recently opened a brick-and-mortar restaurant in Overland Park. Serving a variety of tacos, quesadillas, burritos, and tortas (the al pastor taco is my fave), you will often find them packed at lunch, as word has already gotten out!

They’re of course worth the wait, but don’t fret. Just order ahead online. 😎 And do it today, because every Taco Tuesday, tacos are only $1.50. 🌮

I had a peach cobbler latte 3/4 moon and it was perfect.👌 I’m glad to have this so close to home!
