4 years ago last month, I lost the most important person in my life, my little sister. She was a chef and my favorite person to go out to eat with, talk about food with, grocery shop with and cook with. June is her birthday month, but also her favorite month of the year being a member of the gay community. She loved going to the pride parade in NYC, although I’m not sure if she ever went to the actual parade or just sat at Corner Bistro doing the NYT crossword, either way, she loved it. Eventually my plan is to incorporate a charity to donate to year round in her honor, but alas I am a small business with only so much to go around in these growing years. So for now, every June I like to do something special for her. This month I will be donating 50% of Shannon cookie sales to the an organization I’m sure she would have loved. Please help me to remember her this month, and enjoy one of my favorite cookies, the cookie that started Outliers and was created in her honor. Available at and online through the link in my bio.
