👋🏻 It’s me, your relatable sweet treat lover, checking in. I have an event coming up, Spring Into Wellness: Hosted by
Some might think, How can a bakery be a part of a wellness journey? Here’s the truth:
A little reminder from your local baker who also cares about wellness 🤍
You don’t have to completely cut out sugar to live a healthy life (unless you have a medical reason, of course). So often at events I hear, “I’d buy it if it had protein, less sugar, fewer calories…” and I totally get the intention. We all want to feel our best. But sometimes the pursuit of “perfect” nutrition quietly steals the joy right out of eating.
The truth is, a sweet treat can absolutely exist within a balanced lifestyle. Wellness isn’t built on fear of food. It’s built on nourishment, consistency, and a little bit of delight. Completely restricting yourself from certain foods can backfire emotionally and physically, leading to guilt, binge cycles, and a stressful relationship with eating that does way more harm than good.
Eat the protein. Eat the veggies. Drink your water. Move your body.
And then… eat the cinnamon roll.
Balance looks like fueling your body with meals that satisfy you and allowing room for the things that make life feel sweet too. Food is not just numbers on a label. It’s culture, comfort, celebration, and connection. A cookie at a birthday party or a brownie after a long week isn’t “ruining” anything. It’s living.
You don’t need to earn your dessert. You don’t need to justify enjoying it.
Have the steak… and then have the cinnamon roll. Both can belong on the same plate, and both can belong in a healthy, happy life ✨
