I made pumpkin cinnamon roll donuts! I used the same dough that I make pumpkin cinnamon rolls with and made donuts instead of rolling them out, filling and baking them. They have pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice in the dough and coated them in cinnamon sugar. The glaze is the same maple cream cheese glaze I use on the cinnamon rolls. These sounded delicious when I thought of them and exceeded expectations!

Made a loaf of pumpkin sourdough in the shape of a pumpkin, or at least that was what I was trying for. The bread has pumpkin, honey, pumpkin pie spice, and brown sugar in it, mildy sweet, delicious flavor. I also made some whipped honey cinnamon butter to go with it.

Sam asked me to pick up some oatmeal cream pies from the store today but I knew I had oats in the pantry needing used so I made them myself. Made with dark brown sugar, molasses, cinnamon , and cloves, and filled with vanilla buttercream, they're crispy on the edges and soft and chewy in the center, tastes much better than Little Debbie!

Made some croissants, pain au chocolat, and one bonus cruffin! It's been a while since I made some because the right butter is kinda hard to find but these are by far the best looking batch I've made yet. Nice looking layers, honeycomb pattern inside, perfectly flaky, crispy outside, soft and buttery inside. The pain au chocolat has swiss chocolate inside. I used the trimmings to make a single cruffin that turned out better than I expected, coated it in cinnamon and sugar.

Happy birthday to Herculyeast! Two years ago I first mixed some flour and water together and kept doing so until it was a living, thriving being. Learning how to use it was an interesting adventure, my first loaf was more of a bread frisbee and it wasn't until my fourth time trying that I made sourdough that actually resembled bread. Today he's only fed twice per week to keep him going and when I need to use him to bake a loaf it creates a flavorful, airy loaf.

Made some brownies! Sam likes them fudgey and I have always wanted to get that glossy, crinkly top like that. Made with browned butter, chopped dark chocolate melted into that, and whipped the eggs and sugar together until nice and frothy. It's a little more work than other brownie recipes but it was worth it, she said they were the best I've ever made.

Haven't been baking as much lately due to being on a diet but had to keep my practice up so I made some sourdough. 20% Rye, 80% hydration, nice little ear on it, not a bad crumb either.
