Please come by and check out some new art on the wall by the amazing Yvonne Buchanan!

Yvonne Buchanan is an artist originally from Manhattan, NY, who has been living in the Morongo Basin for the past ten years. Her work spans video, digital media, and drawing. She says that her work is often inspired by the sense of place, the strange horizontal landscape here; the vibrant pink skies and the desert’s many, many snakes.

WELCOME TO ALONE TOGETHER

Come work on whatever you wanna work on or maybe it’s not even work? Maybe it’s knitting, maybe it’s a zine, maybe it’s a puzzle (literal or figurative). Come be social or slightly antisocial! Just come hang at the shop or out on the patio or across the way at the bar. This Sunday, 4-6 pm, see you there!

There’s a reason the back wall has been blank except for being a beautiful orange and the reason is it’s a rotating gallery wall. Our first artist is LIV STOFKO! Liv’s work will be on view starting this Saturday from 5-8 PM. We are open with special art walk hours of 12-8 that day.

Liv is a glass artist, DJ, site manager next door at Art Queen, and overall amazing collaborator. We are so happy to have two of her beautifully detailed ink on paper pieces on view. We hope you add us to your art walk rotation.

A couple of fun orders for today + Keith approaching the closed shop by πŸ’œ

We will be open tomorrow 1-5 at 61877 29 Palms Hwy #3 in downtown Joshua Tree. Tomorrow morning starting at 9 is hosting a community clean up. Pitch in if you can! Visit their page for more info.

Tomorrow’s menu should include: acorn conchas, purple corn sugar cookies (v), slices of tart cherry (v), a couple of whole pies, challah, Aquarius cookies, furikake snack mix, brownies (GF&V), and some hand pies. Stop by and hang out a while πŸ’œ

If you are planning on coming by Saturday we’re probably gonna close around 6 so we can get to Wonder Valley for All Summer’s Eve 🌞

Flipping through the gatefold realized part of this record was recorded at !!! Anyway here today with a bunch of stuff but want to formally introduce you to the FURIKAKE SNACK MIX. A bunch of stuff is soaked in a soy sauce/melted butter/gochugaru (from duh) concoction and then baked all together. I want to continue to create snacks and treats that encompass the spectrum of tastes and desires because u cannot live on sweets alone my friends! Have you had it yet?! What did you think? π–‚π–Š π–†π–—π–Š π–π–†π–•π–•π–ž 𝖙𝖔 π–˜π–Šπ–—π–›π–Š π–žπ–”π–š at our humble new storefront located in the Shops at Zanny’s shopping mall located next to Art Queen in downtown Joshua Tree!! Opening this Sunday April 19 from 11am-7pm. Stop by if you can, we would love to see you and have you help us inaugurate the space!! We are in bungalow 3 right across from the bar! There will be pie and baked goods you know and love as well as some new things. We will continue to do weekly drops at Tiny Pony and Desierto Alto as well as being here every Friday-Monday. Good morning!! This week the Easter Bunny known as BILL has bequeathed upon you the opportunity to buy some extra baked goods 😌

Desierto Alto will be stocked this morning with Tart Cherry Hand Pies (since you said keep em on the rotation OR ELSE) and the vegan flavor of the month is LAVENDER BLUEBERRY. Conchas for this week are a classic Chocolate. The extras available are mini pies: 3 Tart Cherry and a Vegan Blackberry. COOKIES: Purple Corn Sugar Cookie (Vegan) and the whimsical, DGAF, ahead-of-its-time Aquarius cookie.

And next door at the Pony they’ve got a fresh batch of Blackberry Mesquite Pie and officially Cassie approved Brownie cookies (it means nothing to you but everything to me).

May is closed for event orders but I am still available for 1-2 pie orders. Thank you.
