Hi! I’m Katie. 🤎
For anyone who’s new here, or has been around since my original baking days. I thought it was time for a little reintroduction!
I’ve been baking and decorating cakes for years. What started as something I loved eventually grew into a business where I made everything from birthday and wedding cakes to cupcakes, pastries, breads, cookies, and just about anything else I could convince myself to make. 😂
Eventually, something I loved started to feel like work, so I stepped away for a while. Now I’m back, but I’m doing it a little differently. 🤎
I have a full-time career I love, I’m a mom to an amazing little boy, and I share a very full (and usually very busy 😂) life with my partner, Dustin. This time around, I want baking to stay something I genuinely enjoy. I’m keeping things small, focusing mainly on custom cakes and cupcakes, and taking a limited number of orders.
My favorite part has always been turning someone’s idea into something made especially for them. There’s something really special about getting to be a small part of the moments that matter in people’s lives, the birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries and celebrations, but also the harder moments and times when a little comfort is needed. I love knowing that something I made gets to have a place in those memories.
And one thing definitely hasn’t changed: I care just as much about how my cakes taste as how they look. Because pretty is great but the cake better be good too. 😂
