I can truly say I give a whole new meaning to the phrase “handmade with love.”
Thank God for generators! I was able to get one order done and, fingers crossed, I’m hoping to get the remainder of my last order completed as well.
Going on roughly 36 HOURS with no electricity really puts things into perspective. I will never, EVER take the little things in my life for granted. Not being able to do the thing that makes me happy AND, obviously, helps put food on my family’s table has definitely been a humbling experience.
If I end up losing some product or supplies, I’ll be disappointed, of course, but I’m also incredibly grateful that everyone around me is safe. We’ll get through this like we get through everything else in life — together.
And I am absolutely NOT upset with our power company for not having power restored yet. If you’ve had the opportunity to drive through the Westmont area, you’ll understand why.
We actually had a low-flying helicopter behind us surveying the damage through the 550 acres of woods back there. There are trees down everywhere and power lines are tangled up in the mess. It is INSANE. So honestly, those crews have their work cut out for them!
So I say this as humbly as I possibly can…
THANK YOU.
Thank you all so incredibly much for being understanding, patient, and — more importantly — so incredibly supportive of me and my family.
I’m forever grateful for this little business, for the people who support it, and for all of YOU.
