LOL My love of cooking came from my Dad and my love of cake decorating came from my mother. I enjoy decorating cupcakes & cakes & making sweet treats... of all kinds. It brings me much pleasure to do this with my own daughter now - who has proclaimed herself my official taste-tester. :o)

Why Fleur-de-Lis Cupcakery? I'm originally from Louisiana so the Fleur-de-Lis symbol has always been a favori

te of mine. I started by decorating birthday cakes for my children who have been patient as I've honed my skills over the last 12 years. They eagerly look forward to designing the next year's themed birthday cake with me. I have to give special mention to my husband who gives me wonderful support to do something I enjoy. He's heard more about buttercream & cake than I'm sure he ever thought he would. He's the one I bounce ideas and creative design off of and he's the one who stays awake until midnight with me as I finish an order. My children were my initial inspiration and today they, along with my husband, are my biggest fans :o)

Sunday’s baby shower was filled with beautiful blessings - friends & neighbors, out-of-state family, gifts, diapers, books, fun & laughter, games, & yummy food. 💝🍼 I love my son John III & Madison forever & ever & always!! 💙🩷

Frostings ready for the week! Dark choc, vanilla, Amaretto, & choc chip cookie dough! That’s 12 sticks of butter & 5 lbs of sugar just for the frostings. 😬🫣🤤🤫

Our Story

When I was a young girl I enjoyed watching my Mom decorate cakes and now it brings me much pleasure to do this with my own daughter - who has proclaimed herself my official taste tester. :) Why Fleur-de-Lis Cupcakery? I'm originally from Louisiana so the Fleur-de-Lis symbol has always been a favorite of mine.

I started decorating birthday cakes for my children seventeen years ago. They’ve enjoyed designing each year’s themed birthay cake with me. Okay, maybe I’ve been a little more excited some years where my son’s concerned ;) My daughter likes to occassionally point out how my cakes have had a “glow up” over the years...I think I know what she means. Then, I brought some cupcakes to church and next thing I know I had people calling to see if I’d bake for them. To God the Glory!

A special mention of my husband of 20 years - he's heard more about buttercream & cake than I'm sure he ever thought he would! He has stayed up until midnight or later many times, has cleaned a messy kitchen countless times, has been patient as I scurried around in a frenzy to finish a cake before pickup or fix the last-minute “oh my gosh did that really just happen?!” issue, and has driven while I balanced a cake telling him to both hurry up and slow down at the same time while navigating traffice and pavement conditions.
