💜 ANNOUNCEMENT: Miles of Strength – Monique’s Healing Journey 💜

Family & Friends, I am asking for your love and support during this season of my life. In May 2025, I was diagnosed with cancer. As I fight through treatments, I carry the memory and strength of my son, Miles, who wore his crown with courage until the very end. His legacy lives on through Sweets 4 Miles, the Miles 2 Go Foundation, and the Heart & Dough Project—and now through me as I continue this fight.

This journey has also placed a heavy weight on my daughter, Ming, at only 21 years old. She has carried responsibilities far beyond her years while standing by my side with love and grace.

It is very hard for me to ask for help, because I am usually the one helping and serving others. But today, I must lean on the same love and generosity I have poured into my community for so many years.

I created this GoFundMe campaign to help with medical expenses, living costs, and to give us the gift of time to focus on healing and hope.

Remembering My Miles – 17 Years Later 💙

Seventeen years. It feels impossible to even say those words. Seventeen years without my Miles here with me. Seventeen years of waking up with the ache in my chest, of carrying the weight of missing him in ways that words will never fully capture.

Miles, you were more than my child—you were my joy, my heartbeat, my laughter on the hardest days. To lose you to cancer so young was a wound that never healed. Watching you endure that battle with such courage tore my heart apart, yet even in your suffering, you shined with strength.

The pain of losing you has not lessened with time—it has simply woven itself into the fabric of who I am. I miss your smile. I miss your presence. I miss the way you made everything brighter just by being you.

But today, as every day, I honor you. I carry you. I love you beyond what life or death can touch. And I will keep telling your story, keeping your spirit alive in all I do, so the world will always know the gift that was—and still is—Miles.

Forever missing you. Forever loving you.
