What is a Medialuna? 🥐
Medialunas are a traditional Argentine pastry similar in shape to a croissant but with a sweeter, richer flavor. Like croissants, they are made with layers of buttery dough to create the signature flaky texture. One of the key differences between medialunas and croissants is the syrup that is brushed on top of medialunas after they are baked. This adds a touch of sweetness and gives the medialunas a glossy, caramelized finish that is irresistible.

Many of you will already know that my name is Sofi Di Pinto but I don ´t think you know why are we called “Di Blu Bakery”.
When I was a little girl, my dad used to sing me a very famous Italian song whose chorus goes “Nel blu di pinto di blu, Felices si stare lassú”. It is a song full of joy that reminds me of my family, my home, and takes me back to moments from my childhood, those memories that simply make you smile. That´s why, when it came time to think of a name, I had no doubts. Di Blu Bakery aims to do exactly that: create sweet moments, moments of joy. Moments to share with those we love most and, for those who are far from our families, to return, at least for a little while, to those places.

Muchos ya sabrán que mi nombre es Sofi Di Pinto pero no muchos conoces porqué nos llamamos Di Blu Bakery.
Cuando era pequeña mi papá solía cantarme una canción italiana muy conocida cuyo estribillo dice “Nel blu di pinto di blu, Felice si stare lassú”. Se trata de una canción llena de alegría, que me recuerda a mi familia, a mi hogar, que me traslada a momentos de mi infancia, esos recuerdos que simplemente logran sacarte una sonrisa. Por eso, al momento de pensar un nombre, no tuve dudas. Porque Di Blu Bakery busca exactamente eso, generar momentos dulces, momentos de alegría. Momentos para compartir con los que más queremos, y, para aquellos que estamos lejos de nuestras familias y nuestro país, volver, al menos por un ratito, a esos lugares.

The “Maicena Alfajores” are a classic in Argentine pastry. They are made of two super soft cookies made with cornstarch, joined by a generous filling of Dulce de Leche and coated with grated coconut.
