The month of February is here and chocolate is my love language this month ❤️🤎❤️🤎. Adding to the menu my version of MATILDA’s CHOCOLATE CAKE. It’s rich, rustic, moist, perfectly sweet, loaded with the fudgiest couverture chocolate frosting. Hands down the best and the most decadent chocolate cake coming out from my kitchen. After Rasmalai and Gulabjamun it had to be none other than this!!! My humble take on Peda, Mathura Peda. Mathura Peda is widely popular in Northern India, originates from Mathura ( the land of Lord Krishna) is a rich and delicate sweet made from mawa ( milk solids), BUT it stands out from others for its beautiful caramelization which gives it distinct nuttiness, toasty and creamy flavors. Lots of sweet memories eating this sweet, rather being spoilt by my bestie from Mathura in our college days. This cupcake has my ❤️❤️totally. Caramelized mawa sponge with Mawa Fudge frosting. The frosting is UNIQUE in its own, it tastes just like fresh peda out of the pan.. YOU have to taste it to trust me 😊😊😋. #

To the country where my heart belongs to! The saffron, white and green are not mere colors to me but my pride for what they signify.
My Indian fusion bakes and each color and flavor in these layers would surely take you to the nostalgic ride of eating your most favorite “Mithai” in the most authentic and cleanest taste possible. 😋 🎂
