I may not be baking much but I’m still eating!

Went to for dinner service created by a culinary friend of mine from Madison College last night and wow! He and his partner opened 4 months ago and are killing it!
We got the roasted carrots, farmers flatbread, braised short ribs and a lavender crème brûlée. Even the leftovers slapped!

Off season post: Birthday dinner was an amazing experience with my boyfriend 🥳🥰 I’m so grateful that my boyfriend is a foodie and I truly don’t know how I made it through my Europe travels without him last summer. He often reminds me that if you want good food, the cost doesn’t matter. While we didn’t splurge on their $4k bottle of wine, we did indulge in truffles. 🤪

Appetizer: Oeuf Mollet (not pictured) - soft boiled egg over greens with a vinaigrette topped with black truffles (extra $)
Pasta: Cavatelli con Ragu - normally I don’t do pasta but house made pasta should always be ordered especially with pork
Entree: Canard Roti - medium rare duck and fingerlings because potatoes cooked in duck fat is heavenly
Dessert 1: Torta Caprese - walnut flour chocolate cake with walnut liquor ice cream and candied walnuts (bday provided dessert 🎉)
Dessert 2: Chocolate Praline (not pictured) entremet with mousse and ganache and cake and yeah, a lot of chocolate options! Took it to go and had to be consumed in two sittings but I love chocolate so not a big deal 😁

Made this small cake for an intimate wedding on Friday. ❤️

I typically stay far away from wedding cakes because it’s a lot of pressure but when a close friend or coworker ask, I’ll suck it up. 😁
