New year, new look! We started off roasting under the full moon and now we can look at the moon anytime day or night. Thank you the incredibly talented for bringing the moon to us and capturing the vibe we were going for.

This is the first sourdough bread I have baked in months, and it’s for a special occasion. My relationship with baking changed a lot over the course of growing this business and for now I’m reserving sourdough for special occasions and small batches. I’d like to teach others how to bake sourdough, so that you may also share a gifted loaf with friends or tuck into a warm bread with your family from time to time. I will be launching sourdough lessons in our home bakery this summer. I’ll announce the schedule in our next newsletter. Thanks for following along!

You may know us here for our sourdough. You may not know that our original love is coffee. In the background, the quieter side of our business, Seattle-inspired small batch roasted coffee, has been humbly gaining steam without seeking the spotlight. And now it’s coffee’s turn. We are thrilled to partner with LUMBER + S a l t, a Jamesport business whose tasteful eye for reclaimed goods and lofty spaces resonates deeply with us. Inside of the store is a beautiful coffee bar that starting Friday 11/24 will serve coffee drinks made from our roasted beans.

We won’t have bread this week due to a flood in our baking area. It’s under control but needs time to dry out and ensure we’ve truly fixed the issue. We’ll be back next week 8/17 on Shelter Island and 8/19 on the North Fork.

Here’s a little bit of newsie-news about us. We’re going back to weekly sourdough deliveries July to August, stay tuned for locations. We’re also offering our edible flower bread the first weekend in July. A little time away from the bread got us inspired - it’s true what they say about vacations - take them! See you for our next bread delivery July 1st. We’ll share details closer to the date. In the meantime you can find our roasted coffee beans, cold brew, frozen sourdough cinnamon rolls and sourdough pizza dough with our wholesale partners, where these items are always available (linked in bio). We’re back in the motherland of Seattle where our sourdough and coffee journey started. First stop, where coffee wizard Dana knocked our socks off with the most beautiful and tasty coffee art. I’d estimate we visited this coffee shop at least 5 days a week when we lived here. Next stop, , the lovely bakery that gifted us the sourdough starter that launched our company. Our tummies are full with lattes, croissants, muffins and sourdough and we have that feeling of well-being that comes from going home after a long time away. Seattle we miss you so! These businesses top our list of places to visit while we’re here.

In case our latest newsletter did not reach you, please swipe right for an update about how we’re taking this business forward. In summary, once the East End Food Market closes at the end of April, our sourdough baking will shift to once a month May-August. Frozen items and roasted coffee beans will be continuously available at our partners who sell them. Read the full update in our latest newsletter linked in bio. This is a happy shift for us as we’re hoping to spend the summer making things outdoors with our kids much more than last year vs inside making bread. Xo, Ana and Brett

And we’re back! Happy 2023 everyone. We have our full menu of sourdough products and roasted coffee beans on Saturdays at the East End Food Market in Riverhead, and our sourdough breads and coffee beans at Lombardi’s Love Lane Market in Mattituck (cold brew restock coming soon). Our frozen sourdough cinnamon rolls and sourdough pizza dough will be restocked at Eastport General Store very soon, after we get home from the market today. Our other wholesale partners are currently closed for the season and we’ll be sure to send a shout when they’re back for the spring season. It’s good to be back!

‘Tis the season and this coming Saturday December 17th is our last bread day of the month! Please swipe right to learn how to revive our bread when frozen or stale, and for our list of stockists. This info is included in our most recent newsletter which I will link to in our bio when I sit down to make an actual link tree soon 🙃 (for now the fastest path is the newsletter tab on our site). If our bread or coffee can be part of your holiday table this year, please know it was made with extra love on this December send off before we close our doors for a short break to recuperate, snuggle with the family and do all the hygge things for the holidays. I won’t say goodbye just yet, this isn’t our last post for the season. Instead I’ll say, hope to see you tomorrow! Xoxox
