Once, at a large event I'd been invited to, I found myself staring at the cake. Before I realized it i found myself thinking, "I can make that". And so, I signed up for a class. Unfortunately, I was constantly being chastised for asking questions about things outside the scope of the class agenda. I didn't want to make cakes that fit in. I wanted to make cakes and confections that stood out. I wan

ted to make things that were .... remarkable. Katcakes was born of a desire to make the ordinary ... remarkable. Although I can make a sheetcake with buttercream roses that reads "Happy Birthday Timmy" on it, I choose not to. You can get that cake from any grocery store. Katcakes is not about volume, it is about that which does not fit in. Here is where you come when you are looking for a centerpiece. Here is where you come when you want one of a kind. Here is where you come when you are looking for that Oooo La La.. There is no better gift for me than to see you happy with the unexpected. My goal is to share my gift with you and hopefully, you will share this knowledge with others. Why be smooth when you can be crunchy? Be remarkable.
