Good morning!

In five short weeks from this coming Sunday, on June 28, we will be hosting our next Gourmet to Go fundraiser, this time in support of Preservation SOS - Historic Springfield (Save Our Springfield)!!

Let’s face it, summer is here. And who needs something hot on a late June day? This time we will be all in for cold main dish pasta salads! 

Here’s a preview… The offering will be posted on Monday, June 8, with three different flavors and two sizes to choose from. Each quart feeds 2 to 3 people for a main dish. 

Limited amount of gluten-free pastas will be available if you are in need of that.

🌿 Summer Pasta Salad Fundraiser

☀️ Sunlit Mediterranean Pasta Salad (Vegetarian)
Lemon herb vinaigrette, chickpeas, vegetables & feta

🥪 Classic Italian Antipasto Pasta Salad
Deli meats, provolone, green olives, banana peppers, creamy Italian dressing

🔥 Smoky BBQ Ranch Chicken Pasta Salad
Sweet Corn, black beans, cheddar, bacon, and bold BBQ-ranch flavor

That’s it!  we did a test run on these in April and they were a big hit!

Limited quantities will be available so mark your calendars for June 8 and get your orders in before we sell out! And you’re helping a great organization who gives back so much to our community.

OMG.

I have a prediction that these will be the newest fan favorite.

IM Kona Porch Squares!!

That chocolate espresso crust, and those big chunks of macadamia nuts, along with white chips and coconut.

We sampled them last evening with coffee and holy cow…… or maybe holy big island. 🙄😂

For those of you who were lucky enough to snag some of these, I think you will be happy!

And the good news is, I have an extra bag of macadamia nuts so you will definitely see these again in the future!

Good morning all!!

Wanted to let everyone know of a policy I’m instituting in my bakery.

I have intermittent issues with customers not picking up their baked goods on the day they are made - and quality is the reason! I’ve honestly struggled a lot with this. I believe I’ve been clear from the beginning that on the day that I’ve published, I’ll message each of you with pickup times, and the expectation is that you have already made time on your schedule to pick up when you place the order. Fresh breads, etc. are ALWAYS best on the day they are baked!

Going forward, you can secure your baked item by sending payment prior to the date, so that if something unexpected happens and you cannot pick up on the schedule, I’ll hold your item until the next day (with very limited exceptions, like when I’m traveling).

I’ll message you ONE time on the day of pickup - our front gate is locked at 8:30 pm. If you have not picked up by then and have not prepaid, I will either donate your claimed item or offer it to friends or neighbors.

I’ve priced my items very low, and it’s honestly not worth the time to remind multiple times that an item needs to be picked up.

Happy Mother’s Day!

In honor of all of the fabulous moms I know, I have some fun treats up for grabs!!

Bolo de Fubá is a traditional Brazilian cornmeal cake. My version has a bottom layer of cornmeal crust and a top layer of custard. Best served with a little chill from the fridge and with your favorite coffee or espresso!

A handful of packages, each with two servings, in the cooler on my porch. No labels or names, just free from me to you!

When the IRONMAN in the house requests bagels, it’s best to comply. 

These are a two day process and they just came out out of the oven. The house smells so amazing!

The recipe is from my bread guru whose cookbook will be published in the fall. I’ve been recipe testing for him for the last couple of years when I can. This was one of my favorites! I’ll definitely publish links to buy his book!

We have a winner!

On Friday, May 15, I will be offering up 4-packs of IMAN Kona Porch Squares!

The backstory… Jim was a Kona IRONMAN in 2000.  Both of us have volunteered at the Kona race quite a few times. And we are planning to go back next year and volunteer again.
