Planning to travel over Teton Pass?
Know before you go.

WYDOT’s WY22 Safe Pass program provides important
safety requirements for drivers traveling Wyoming
Highway 22 over Teton Pass. Drivers of RVs, vehicles
pulling trailers, and vehicles or combinations with a
GVW, GVWR or GCWR of 10,000 pounds or more must
complete Safe Pass self-certification before traveling
the pass.

Teton Pass features 10% grades and sharp curves,
making preparation and proper vehicle operation
especially important. WYDOT advises drivers to obey
all restrictions, know proper downshifting and
engine-braking techniques, and be prepared to use tire
chains when restrictions are in effect.

Before you travel:
Visit safepass.wyoroad.info to review requirements and
complete your WY22 Safe Pass self-certification.
