The absolute best dogs in these mountains!
A fire roasted all beef jumbo hotdog on a fresh Black Sheep bun with Papaw James’ famous all beef chili!
During World War II he made the chili for the restaurants in Neon. The Chili Bowl among others served his chili. Anytime money was being raised in Hemphill he cooked this chili. When food was war rationed he made it by grinding bologna. We finally added it to the menu in all beef form. We have Mamaw Mable’s butterscotch sauce on our dessert pizza and her chocolate gravy for Saturday morning breakfast.
Last night we had Papaw’s chili and it was a trip down memory lane. Reminding us of horse shows, field trials, c**n on a logs, election grounds, music shows, and ball games were places you could get it.
